What are your travel plans for 2026? Our travel plans include a stop at Disney World and 2 Disney Cruises!

Late Summer Disney World Trip

Arrival Day

We start in late summer in Disney World staying at Pop Century, which Emerson refers to as her home resort! We have a very early morning flight which gives us a lot of time in Disney and surround areas for the day. Because we are staying at Disney World before our cruise from Fort Lauderdale we are renting a car when we arrive at MCO. If you have not cruised from Fort Lauderdale, you can not get Disney Cruise Line transportation from Disney World to the port, however, you can from Disney World to Port Canaveral. Since we have a car for our Disney World days we are going to start our first day at a store called Pin HQ so Emerson can do some pin shopping (she has quite the collection). After Pin HQ we are going to make our first stop ever at Disney's Character Warehouse outlet store to see what Disney merch they might have. Right now we plan to stop at Boathouse in Disney Springs for dinner, we have never eaten there before.

Days 2

We will start the day by taking the Skyliner (our favorite mode of transportation) to Hollywood Studios. We love Toy Story land at Hollywood Studios and Emerson loves the new Villains Show. We typically get the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass at Hollywood Studios so we can get in Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, and another favorite Mickey and Minnie's Run Away Railway. At Hollywood Studios the Multi-Pass is definitely worth it. We will likely take a break around lunch time and take the Skyliner back to Pop and after a break take the bus to Magic Kingdom. Since we already have the Multi-Pass for the day we can book some Lightning Lanes at Magic Kingdom, for us this usually means Big Thunder Mountain. This summer we also plan to do a Sweets and Seats Fireworks Dessert Party. Faith and I did a previous version of this many years ago before Emerson was born, it has changed since Covid. Basically there is a dessert party at Tomorrowland Terrance which provides a great place to sit and watch the fireworks as well. This is an extra cost so it's not something we would do every trip.

Day 3

We will start the day by taking the Skyliner to Epcot, another reason why we love Pop Century is you can get to two parks using the Skyliner. We having breakfast at Akerhus and dinner at Via Napoli (a favorite restaurant) in Epcot. We are also changing resorts to finish a split stay at Port Orleans Riverside which is a resort we have not stayed at before.

Day 4

For our last park day we plan to play a game called Bus Roulette that we learned from the YouTube channel AllEars.net. Basically, you go to the bus stop at your resort and wait for the first bus to arrive, you get on that bus and go to that park. You do something at that park and then leave the park, go to the busses, and get on the first bus that comes. Go to that resort and continue from there. Later that night we plan dinner at Steakhouse 71, which is another favorite restaurant, and then to Magic Kingdom for the Starlight parade and fireworks.

Day 5

On our last morning we are going to have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and hang out at the resort before we drive to Fort Lauderdale. In Fort Lauderdale we get on the Disney

Destiny cruise ship for the first time! The Destiny is very similar to the Wish and Treasure which we sailed on in the summer of 2025. We do have new ports of call in San Juan and St. Marteen, both of which we are looking forward to.

Thanksgiving Break Trip

Our second trip for the year is over Thanksgiving break. We are going to travel to Galveston Texas and get on board the Disney Magic. This is our first cruise on the Magic and our first cruise on one of the original (aka smaller) ships. We are very much looking forward to comparing it to the other ships in the fleet. This will also be our second Very Merrytime Cruise.

We can't wait to make memories and have new experiences at Disney World and on Disney Cruise ships this year!
